What does the Whistler Blackcomb Closure mean for my Skylynx Bus Tickets?

Mar 15

As you may know, Whistler Blackcomb has suspended operations from March 15 - 22 as part of a North American-wide decision affecting all ski resorts operated by parent company, Vail Resorts. We understand that you may have questions for us during this time and because of this we decided to share some FAQs that we have been receiving from our valued customers in the past few days:

Can I get a refund if I want to cancel my Skylynx bus trip?

Under these special circumstances, reservations for Skylynx may be fully refunded. Guests who purchased their tickets directly through our website may make their refund requests through our Call Centre by phone or email. Due to high call volumes we recommend sending an email to info@yvrskylynx.com with your Confirmation Number, name and phone number and stating that you wish a refund. Guests who purchased their tickets through a reseller such as Expedia, Whistler.com, or a travel agent, must cancel through the same service as our Call Centre is not equipped to handle those tickets.

I still want to use my Skylynx ticket… are the buses still running?

YES. We are continuing to operate our usual schedule to and from Whistler-Squamish. All tickets will be honoured and new bookings may be made by visiting BOOK NOW on our website.

I still want to use my Skylynx ticket… but at a later time. Is that an option available?

YES. We will be more than happy to rebook your trip to a future time of your choice. Please email us at info@yvrskylynx.com with your Confirmation Number, name and phone number and indicate the future time you would like to change to. Our Call Center can assist as well should calling be more convenient.

If I still want to go to Whistler is there anything to do besides Skiing?

Whistler in winter is still one of the most beautiful and active places on earth. It’s full of trails, sights, and activities other than skiing. Check out this Tourism Whistler Guide for more ideas. Whistler is still a great vacation!
