  • How can I buy tickets?

    We offer a range of channels to purchase your tickets:

    • Online (www.yvrskylynx.com)
    • YVR Skylynx kiosk at Vancouver International Airport (located at International arrivals on Level 2)
    • Call Centre on  (604)-326-1616 (open everyday from 8:30am to 7pm PST and note that hours may vary during holiday periods.)
    • Tourism Squamish information centre at the Squamish Adventure Centre
    • Tourism Whistler information centre at Gateway Loop
    • Drivers (subject to available seating on-board the coach)

    We advise all customers to book as early as possible to ensure seating and lowest price.

    Our kiosk at Vancouver Airport is open from 30 minutes before the first departure and open until the last departure of the day.

  • Can we buy tickets on the day?

    Subject to available seats on the coach, same-day tickets may be purchased through our website, call centre, at our YVR Skylynx kiosk at Vancouver International Airport or from the driver. We accept most major credit cards and cash. 

    We advise all customers to book as early as possible to ensure seating and lowest price. 

  • What do I need to show the driver on the day?

    All our drivers have iPads which show them your booking on our service. When you book a ticket through our website or call centre, you will receive your ticket via e-mail within 15 minutes with travel details. Customers are required to either print out your ticket or simply show your booking on an electronic device.

    Additionally, all travelers must present government issued photo identification or a credit/ debit card that matches the traveler's name on the YVR Skylynx trip manifest.

  • I haven’t received an e-mail booking confirmation?

    Please call our call centre on (604) 326-1616 or e-mail us at info@yvrskylynx.com and we will resend you your tickets. Please check that our e-mail isn’t in your spam or junk folder.

  • Do you offer a discount for locals in Whistler and Squamish?

    Yes we do. We offer a locals discount for residents in the Whistler and Squamish areas.

    For details of how to purchase these discounted tickets, please visit our kiosk at YVR Airport or contact us at info@YVRSkylynx.com or our hotline at +1-604-326-1616.

    Please note we require proof that you are a resident. We accept ID cards and bills with your name and address in Squamish or Whistler.

  • What is your cancellation and refund policy?

    If you have purchased a Flexible Ticket then you can amend your trip for free or cancel your booking and get a full refund off of your original ticket booking date as long as you give us 24 hours notice prior to your scheduled departure time. Please note refunds after a ticket change to another travel date from the original ticket booking is not permitted.  

    If you purchase a Standard ticket then no changes or cancellations are permitted.

  • Do you offer discounts for groups?

    Yes we do. We offer 10% off for groups of 10 or more booked at the same time. Please contact our call centre to purchase these tickets.

    For groups larger than 25, please contact us at sales@yvrskylynx.com for a specialised rate.

  • Can I book a return ticket from YVR > Whistler > Vancouver?

    Yes, absolutely!

    The easiest way to do this is to book a one-way ticket first, and then on the shopping cart screen hit continue shopping to book the one-way return ticket back.

  • Can I change my ticket independently?

    Yes! Due to popular demand, Skylynx has enabled a self-serve process to allow ticket holders to change their ticket date independently via the website. 

    Here’s how: 

    • Find your ticket confirmation sent to your email the day you booked/purchased your Skylynx bus ticket. 

    • Locate and click on the link titled ‘Want to change the ticket?’ 

    • You will be brought to the Skylynx ticket change self-serve portal, where you will be asked to input your ticket #, passenger last name, and new travel date. 

    • Select your new desired departure time and bus service.

    Please note that flexible ticket holders making ticket changes will be free-of-charge as long as it is within the same service class. Standard ticket holders will be charged a change fee to conduct ticket changes.

  • How far in advance must I book a Skylynx shuttle from and to YVR Airport?

    When arriving on a flight to Vancouver Airport, please allow yourself at least 1 to 2 hours to go through customs and collect your luggage before checking in at our kiosk.

    When departing on a flight from Vancouver Airport from Whistler, we recommend to book a ride departing Whistler 5 to 6 hours before your flight departure time. It allows you to be at the airport at least 2 hours before your flight.

  • Running late or delayed flight?

    Our coaches run to a fixed schedule and will leave at the departure time.

    If you are running late due to flight delays, we will happily reschedule you on the next available bus of the same ticket value free of charge. To change your scheduled coach, please call our call centre on (604) 326-1616 or speak with a member of our staff (kiosk staff at Vancouver Airport). 

    For maximum flexibility and protection, we recommend you purchase our Flexibile Ticket offering during your booking. This allows you to change your ticket free of charge or receive a full refund if you have to cancel your trip, as long as you contact us 24 hours or more before your scheduled departure time.

    All Standard Ticket(s) that are not changed or canceled before departure are void and non-refundable.

  • My coach hasn’t arrived?

    Firstly, please check that you are in the right location for the stop. Information on stops can be found at www.yvrskylynx.com

    If our coach doesn’t arrive within 10 minutes of scheduled departure time, please contact our call centre on (604) 326-1616 and they will provide an update on the estimated arrival time.

  • Operating during poor weather

    Our drivers are highly skilled to operate coaches during poor weather and the coaches are specially adapated for these conditions.

    In the event that our coaches are unable to run, we will contact you as soon as we can via e-mail.

  • Can you accommodate wheelchairs?

    We will transport a wheelchair in the luggage bay free of charge and the guest will be reserved the front row seat. However the guest must be able to board the bus with assistance from the driver.

  • Travelling with children and infants

    At YVR Skylynx, children are from 6-12 years old inclusive and infants are up to 5 years old on the day of travel.

    All infants and children are assigned their own seats and children under 3 years of age are required to have a car seat compatible with single-point seat belts. All infants are free and Children are 50% off the adult rates.

    Please note that children under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult or guardian on the trip.

  • Can I bring my pet(s)?

    We only allow dogs certified under British Columbia’s Guide Dog and Service Dog Act and are allowed free of charge. Visiting dogs and handler teams may apply for certification by submitting an application for a Guide or Service Dog Certificate prior to arrival.

    Any other pet, including therapy and emotional support animals, are not allowed to travel on YVR Skylynx services.

  • Lost and found

    If you have lost an item on one of our coaches, please contact us at (604) 326-1616 or e-mail info@YVRSkylynx.com.

  • Can I eat and drink on the bus?

    Water, soft drinks, coffee and snacks only can be consumed on the vehicle. Items containing nuts are strictly not allowed.

    Due to Covid-19, we ask passengers to refrain from eating on the coach for the safety of all our passengers. 

  • Where do you stop?

    In addition to our hotel stops in Whistler (please see our complimentary Door-2-Door Service on all our Skylynx Express runs offerings), we stop at the following locations:

    • Vancouver Airport: Meet at our YVR Skylynx Kiosk at the International Arrivals Area adjacent to the escalators.  
    • Vancouver Downtown: Meet on Melville Street outside of Hyatt Regency Hotel near Burrard Metro Station.
    • Pacific Central Station: Meet at 1150 Station St, Vancouver, BC V6A 4C7.
    • Squamish: Pick-up and drop-off by reservation only. Meet at the Squamish Adventure Centre, 38551 Loggers Lane, beside Highway 99.
    • Creekside: Pick-up and drop-off by reservation only. Our meeting point is outside of Legends Hotel at the bus stop.
    • Whistler: Meet at Whistler Gateway loop near the Whistler Visitor Centre.

  • When should I arrive for departure?

    Passengers must be ready to board at least 15 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time. Please understand that this is to allow sufficient time for loading all luggage/equipment, ensuring everyone is boarded comfortably, and that we depart on time.

    If you are flying into Vancouver International Airport, we recommend allowing 2 hours from landing to claim baggage and go through customs.

  • Do the coaches have Wi-Fi?

    We offer complimentary Wi-Fi on board our luxury coaches servicing the Vancouver Airport - Whistler route. Complimentary Wi-Fi is for messaging, email and website browsing only. Speed of connection and ability for video streaming or gaming will be limited. Please note that this is not a guaranteed service (the reliability and quality of the connection may vary due to the sometimes harsh conditions) and the driver cannot address connection issues while driving.

    To access the Wi-Fi, look for the following name: "YVR Skylynx Free Wifi"  

  • Is there a washroom?

    All our luxury coaches travelling between the Vancouver and Whistler corridor have private washrooms on-board for your travel convenience. 

  • How long does the trip take?

    Depending on traffic and road conditions, the trip may take up to three hours between Vancouver International Airport YVR and Whistler and two hours between Vancouver City Centre and Whistler. Most trips will be comfortably within this timeframe. Please allow additional time for airport boarding procedures or other time sensitive activities.

  • What is the hotel service on your Skylynx Express Routes?

    We operate a complimentary hotel service on all our Skylynx Express departures where we provide pick-up and drop-offs for our customers to a number of partnership hotels. The hotel service on our Skylynx Express routes can be selected when booking through our website (www.yvrskylynx.com).

  • How do I find out information about this service?

    YVR Skylynx operates a service everyday between YVR Vancouver Airport and Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal with onward connections to Victoria and surrounding areas operated by our partners at BC Ferries Connector. At YVR Airport, please check-in at the YVR Skylynx kiosk before your departure.

    Please note that the Victoria Ferry service is temporarily suspended due to Covid-19. Please contact us at info@yvrskylynx.com should you have any further questions.

  • How much luggage and sports gear can I bring?

    Luggage

    Each ticket holder may bring one standard size suitcase or duffel bag no larger than 158 centimeters (62 inches) and weighing a maximum of 23 kilos (50 pounds) plus one carry-on bag that can fit in the overhead storage compartment. Please note that overhead storage space on buses is typically smaller than found in airplanes and measures 23x 40.5x51 cm (9x16x20 inches). Bringing a small suitcase as a carry-on bag weighing no more than 12 kg (25 lbs) is perfectly fine.

    Additional luggage over the allowed alottment will be $10 per bag.

    Sports Equipment

    Each ticket holder may also bring one set of skis or snowboard or golf clubs. Additional skis, snowboards or golf clubs will be $10 per set/item. 

    Each ticket holder will have 1 free bike alottment. All bikes have to be boxed or bagged to ensure safety and the cleanliness of other fellow passenger's luggage and belongings. Additional bikes over the allowed alottment will be $10 per bike.  

  • Is a stroller or wheelchair counted as “additional luggage”?

    No, any strollers which are collapsible are not charged. If the stroller cannot be folded, we reserve the right to charge $15 to transport the stroller.

    Wheelchairs are not charged but please see our question on wheelchairs as we require advance notice of wheelchair passengers 24 hours before travel.

  • How to set up an account with us to retail tickets

    We offer hotels, travel agents and businesses the opportunity to retail our tickets and receive commissions. 

    We can provide you with an agent log-in to directly purchase tickets through our reservation system and receive immediate booking confirmation for your customers.

  • How do I apply for a job at YVR Skylynx?
