  • How can I buy tickets?

    We offer a range of channels to purchase your tickets:

    • Online (www.yvrskylynx.com)
    • YVR Skylynx kiosk at Vancouver International Airport (located at International arrivals on Level 2)
    • Call Centre on  (604)-326-1616 (open everyday from 8:30am to 7pm PST and note that hours may vary during holiday periods.)
    • Tourism Squamish information centre at the Squamish Adventure Centre
    • Tourism Whistler information centre at Gateway Loop
    • Drivers (subject to available seating on-board the coach)

    We advise all customers to book as early as possible to ensure seating and lowest price.


    Our kiosk at Vancouver Airport is open from 30 minutes before the first departure and open until the last departure of the day.

  • Can we buy tickets on the day?

    Subject to available seats on the coach, same-day tickets may be purchased through our website (up to two hours in advance), call centre, at our YVR Skylynx kiosk at Vancouver International Airport or from the driver. We accept most major credit cards and cash. Please note drivers cannot accept cash.

    We advise all customers to book as early as possible to ensure seating and lowest price. Finally, note that door to door services cannot be sold on the day of departure.

  • What do I need to show the driver on the day?

    All our drivers have iPads which show them your booking on our service. When you book a ticket through our website or call centre, you will receive your ticket via e-mail within 15 minutes with travel details. Customers are required to either print out your ticket or simply show your booking on an electronic device.

    Additionally, all travelers must present government issued photo identification or a credit/ debit card that matches the traveler's name on the YVR Skylynx trip manifest.

  • I haven’t received an e-mail booking confirmation?

    Please call our call centre on (604) 326-1616 or e-mail us at info@yvrskylynx.com and we will resend you your tickets. Please check that our e-mail isn’t in your spam or junk folder.

  • Do you offer a discount for locals in Whistler and Squamish?

    Yes we do. We offer a locals discount for residents in the Whistler and Squamish areas.

    Please note we require proof that you are a resident. We accept ID cards and bills with your name and address in Squamish or Whistler.

  • What is your cancellation and refund policy?

    Unless you have purchased our ‘Flexi-Ticket’ add-on product with your booking, tickets cannot be changed and are non-refundable.

    The Flexi-Ticket option allows you to change your booking up to 24 hours prior to the departure time of your bus free of charge. The Flexi-ticket option also allows you cancel your booking up to 24 hours prior to the departure time of your bus and receive a full refund (less the cost of the Flexi-Ticket add-on).

  • Do you offer discounts for groups?

    Yes we do. We offer 15% off for groups of 8 or more booked at the same time. Please contact our call centre to purchase these tickets.


    For groups larger than 25, please contact us at sales@yvrskylynx.com for a specialised rate.

  • Can I book a return ticket from YVR > Whistler > Vancouver?

    Yes, absolutely!

    The easiest way to do this is to purchase a return trip to the airport and then just hop-off at our downtown stop (Hyatt Regency Hotel).

  • How far in advance must I book a Skylynx shuttle from and to YVR Airport?

    When arriving on a flight to Vancouver Airport, please allow yourself at least 1 to 2 hours to go through customs and collect your luggage before checking in at our kiosk.

    When departing on a flight from Vancouver Airport from Whistler, we recommend to book a ride departing Whistler 5 to 6 hours before your flight departure time. It allows you to be at the airport at least 2 hours before your flight.

  • Running late or delayed flight?

    Our coaches run to a fixed schedule and will leave at the departure time.

    If you are running late or the flight was delayed or you arrive early, we will happily reschedule you on the next available bus free of charge. To change your scheduled coach, please call our call centre on (604) 326-1616 or speak with a member of our staff (driver or kiosk staff at Vancouver Airport).

    For maximum flexibility and protection, we recommend you purchase our Flexi-Ticket add-on during your booking. This allows you to change your ticket free of charge or receive a full refund if you have to cancel your trip, as long as you contact us 24 hours or more before your scheduled departure time.

    We recommend that you provide us with information of your flights during your booking. This will enable our staff to automatically assign you the next available seat if your flight is delayed and ensure you reach your destination as quickly as possible.

    All other tickets that are not changed or canceled before departure are void and non-refundable.

  • My coach hasn’t arrived?

    Firstly, please check that you are in the right location for the stop. Information on stops can be found at www.yvrskylynx.com

    If our coach doesn’t arrive within 10 minutes of scheduled departure time, please contact our call centre on (604) 326-1616 and they will provide an update on the estimated arrival time.

  • Operating during poor weather

    Our drivers are highly skilled to operate coaches during poor weather and the coaches are specially adapated for these conditions.

    In the event that our coaches are unable to run, we will contact you as soon as we can via e-mail.

  • Can you accommodate wheelchairs?

    We will transport a wheelchair in the luggage bay free of charge and the guest will be reserved the front row seat. However the guest must be able to board the bus with assistance from the driver.

  • Travelling with children and infants

    At YVR Skylynx, children are from 6-12 years old inclusive and infants are up to 5 years old on the day of travel.

    All infants and children are assigned their own seats and children under 3 years of age may ride in the parent’s lap. All infants are free and Children are 50% off the adult rates.

    Please note that children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult or guardian on the trip.

  • Can I bring my pet(s)?

    We only allow dogs certified under British Columbia’s Guide Dog and Service Dog Act and are allowed free of charge. Visiting dogs and handler teams may apply for certification by submitting an application for a Guide or Service Dog Certificate prior to arrival.

    Any other pet, including therapy and emotional support animals, are not allowed to travel on YVR Skylynx services.

  • Lost and found

    If you have lost an item on one of our coaches, please contact us at (604) 326-1616 or e-mail info@YVRSkylynx.com.

  • Can I eat and drink on the bus?

    Water, soft drinks, coffee and snacks only can be consumed on the vehicle. Items containing nuts are strictly not allowed.

  • Where do you stop?

    In addition to our hotel stops in Whistler (please see Whistler Door to Door section below), we stop at the following locations:

    • Vancouver Airport: Meet at our YVR Skylynx Kiosk beside the escalator at International Arrivals 
    • Vancouver City Centre: Meet on Melville Street outside of Hyatt Regency Hotel near Burrard Metro Station
    • Squamish: Pick-up and drop-off by reservation only. Meet at the Squamish Adventure Centre, 38551 Loggers Lane, beside Highway 99.
    • Hwy 99/Cheakamus Crossing: Pick-up and drop-off by reservation only. Our meeting point is at the traffic lights at Sproatt/ Function Junction which is a kilometer from Hi Whistler Hostel. Summer time only from 7th June to 8th September 2019.
    • Creekside: Pick-up and drop-off by reservation only. Our meeting point is outside of Legends Hotel at the bus stop.
    • Whistler: Meet at Whistler Gateway loop near the Whistler Visitor Centre.

    Please note that due to our transport licence, we are unable to sell tickets and transport customers between:

    • Squamish and Whistler
    • Vancouver Airport and Vancouver City Centre
  • When should I arrive for departure?

    Passengers must be ready to board at least 15 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time. Please understand that this is to allow sufficient time for loading all luggage/equipment, ensuring everyone is boarded comfortably, and that we depart on time.

    If you are flying into Vancouver International Airport, we recommend allowing 2 hours from landing to claim baggage and go through customs.

  • Do the coaches have Wi-Fi?

    We offer complimentary Wi-Fi on board our luxury coaches servicing the Vancouver Airport - Whistler route. Speed of connection and ability for video streaming or gaming may be limited by bandwidth. Please note that this is not a guaranteed service (the reliability and quality of the connection may vary due to the sometimes harsh conditions) and the driver cannot address connection issues while driving.

    To access the Wi-Fi, look for the following name: "Skylynx Wifi"  followed by four numbers. Password is "yvrskylynx", all lower case with no space.



  • Is there a washroom?

    Our luxury coaches on the Vancouver International Airport to Whistler route have private washrooms (subject to availability). Washrooms are not available on other routes.

  • How long does the trip take?

    Depending on traffic and road conditions, the trip may take up to three hours between Vancouver International Airport YVR and Whistler and two hours between Vancouver City Centre and Whistler. Most trips will be comfortably within this timeframe. Please allow additional time for airport boarding procedures or other time sensitive activities.

  • What is the Door to Door service?

    In Whistler, we operate a door to door service using minibuses to get you safely to your final destination from Whistler Gateway Loop. Tickets must be purchased by 1pm PST (Pacific Standard Time) the day before, otherwise we can only drop you off at Whistler Gateway Loop or Creekside Village.

    The charge for this service is $10.00 per person for a single trip and children are 50% off.

  • What is Key Service?

    We offer a special key service for customers staying with Whistler Premier Properties and Resort Quest. Note that this must be booked by 1pm Pacific Standard Time the day before departure using Whistler Zone 6.

    We will transport you to collect your key, assist with check-in and take you to your accommodation. This is a charge of Door-to-Door service fee ($10.00) plus $5.00 per person (plus 5% GST) for each way. Children are 50% off.

    Guest must make their checkout arrangements directly with the property management company prior to departure. 

  • Which zone is my hotel in?

    Within walking distances are hotels such as First Track Lodge, Lake Placid Lodge and Whiski Jack Resorts. For customers heading to Nita Lake Lodge, it is around a 10 minute walk. 

    Zone 4- Hwy99/Cheakamus Crossing (Only served from 7th June to 8th September 2019)

     Hi Hostel Whistler

    The bus stops on the Sea to Sky Highway at the Cheakamus Lake Rd & Alpha Lake Rd traffic lights- less than a kilometre from the HI Hostel in Sproat.

    Zone 5- Squamish


    Note that zone 5 is only used for selling tickets from Squamish to/from Vancouver City Center.

    We will drop you off to collect your key upon arrival at Whistler and transfer you to your accomodation. From Whistler, you will receive our regular door to door service.

  • How do I find out information about this service?

    YVR Skylynx operates a service everyday between YVR Vancouver Airport and Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal with onward connections to Victoria and surrounding areas operated by our partners at BC Ferries Connector. At YVR Airport, please check in at the YVR Skylynx kiosk before your departure.

    Timetable from 3rd May 2019 to 30th September 2019

    Our services from YVR Vancouver International Airport depart everyday at 7:40am, 9:40am, 11:40am, 1:40pm, 3:40pm, 5:40pm and 7:40pm. We connect with BC Ferries Connector seven times a day with departures at 8:50am, 10.50am, 12.50pm, 2:50pm, 4:50pm, 6.50pm and 8.50pm. We arrive back to YVR Vancouver Airport at 9:30am, 11:30am, 1:30pm, 3:30pm, 5:30pm, 7:30pm and 9:30pm.

  • How much luggage and sports gear can I bring?


    Each ticket holder may bring one standard size suitcase or duffel bag no larger than 158 centimeters (62 inches) and weighing a maximum of 23 kilos (50 pounds) plus one carry-on bag that can fit in the overhead storage compartment. Please note that overhead storage space on buses is typically smaller than found in airplanes and measures 23x 40.5x51 cm (9x16x20 inches). Bringing a small suitcase as a carry-on bag weighing no more than 12 kg (25 lbs) is perfectly fine.

    Additional luggage is charged $15 each for a single trip.

    Sports equipment

    Each ticket holder may also bring one set of skis or snowboard or golf clubs. Additional skis or snowboards or golf clubs are charged $15 each for a single trip.

    Customers wishing to transport a bicycle or tandem are charged $20 per bike for a single trip.

    Additional luggage

    We recommend customers purchase additional luggage and gear in advance through our website or by contacting the call centre to guarantee we have room to accommodate your request. In the unlikely event that we do not have room for your gear, we commit to ensuring your gear travels safely on the next service and dropped off at your final destination.

  • Is a stroller or wheelchair counted as “additional luggage”?

    No, any strollers which are collapsible are not charged. If the stroller cannot be folded, we reserve the right to charge $15 to transport the stroller.

    Wheelchairs are not charged but please see our question on wheelchairs as we require advance notice of wheelchair passengers 24 hours before travel.

  • How to set up an account with us to retail tickets

    We offer hotels, travel agents and businesses the opportunity to retail our tickets and receive commission. 

    We can provide you with an agent log-in to directly purchase tickets through our system (Zaui) and receive immediate booking confirmation for your customers.

  • How do I apply for a job at YVR Skylynx?

    At the moment, we do not have any open positions but we welcome resumes for qualified candidates for the position of bus driver based in Vancouver or Whistler, along with kiosk staff based at Vancouver Airport and call centre staff based in Richmond.
